Fully Catered
Accommodation: Includes hotel accommodation on night of arrival and departure An absolute must for anyone who enjoys the idea of paddling in the clear blue seas of Baja, casting a line, catching a great variety of fish, and relaxing on two islands that can only be described as paradise! This is a fly-fishing/kayaking/camping expedition for the fly-fisher looking for that out of the ordinary adventure. Sea kayaks provide an unobtrusive and pleasurable means to discover our favorite fishing spots. We will base camp for four nights at each island. If you are bringing a partner who is not interest in fishing they will have a very relaxing time enjoying the comforts and scenic beauty from our camps. The trip will be led by Gary Bulla our saltwater flyfishing specialist. Gary has been plying the Baja waters for fif teen years, but the combination of great fishing and spectacular scenery have made San Jose and Espiritu Santo his favorite destinations . Green Jacks, Pargo, Jack Crevalle, Topsail Pompano, Black Skipjack, Pacific Bonita, Ladyfish, are to mention just a few of the fish that one can land by kayak! At different times of the year there is a good chance of being towed around by a ten pound black skipjack tuna and you never know what else - the Gulf of California is one of the most diverse fishing grounds in the world. You don't have to be a kayak expert or a flyfishing pro to catch lots of fish and have a great time. Your flyfishing equipment should include an 8,9, or ten weight rod. Sinking lines are a must, but there will be surface action also, so intermediate lines will be useful too. A linked itinerary of both island trips:
